The Leads

Cerealis paid the party a reward of three Drachma for helping with Cornelius, and the party paid one Drachma for the information on Ichnos and Dakos. After some false starts, Kerialalta tracked down Ichnos. Gremm used Command Animal and learned that scenting animals are usually kept on a leash. Off the leash, they bolt, and the party would never keep up.

Steve was ready to start tracking Dakos immediately, but a message from Hades gave him pause: he now has a way to find Dakos, and should consider carefully before using it. Dakos is not like the other two, and mortal strength does not typically fare well against creatures of the Divine.

Back to Aethermoor

The party decided to return to Aethermoor to speak with the healer, the Miraculous Court Physician, and with the Champions about mounts. They suspect the healer will help with the hospital, and that the Strong Dock Worker will be able to help them with Dakos (mounts will help get there faster).

The Berry Bush

While setting up camp on the road, the party heard a squirrel chittering and scolding something in the trees. It leapt onto a bush of beautiful, ripe berries and ran off. Everyone except Gremm ate the berries.

It did not go well. Lotus and Kaelen soon began to feel ill, while Kerialalta shrugged off the poison. Vines wrapped around the party, and a huge, familiar bear charged out of the trees: the same bear from the earlier ambush, where all of her friends were slaughtered.

She went after Kaelen alone. Her first attack took him down half his health, but Kerialalta healed him and the bear was less effective from then on. Kerialalta was held in place by the vines and Lotus was paralyzed for much of the fight. When the bear was around half health, she ran.

Gremm is insisting on following her, though she moves faster than he does. Kaelen is still suffering the first stage of the poison.

Lotus needs to level to 4 for next game. Next session is October 16th.
